Cyberbullying, in simple terms, is the act of "bullying" someone through the use of various means of electronic communication. Examples such as Facebook, twitter, instagram, phone calls, texts, emails, etc. During this day and age it is very difficult to get through a productive day without the use electronics as means of communication. That being said, using the internet is not a necessity, as it offers convince to the users. People indulge themselves in the use of electronic communication for effiecency as well as pleasure. What people neglect to realize is that any electronic device that connects to the internet becomes vulnurable to whom ever wishes partake in a devious act. This does not mean that anyone who knows how to start a computer can hack into the CIA's database. The notion that a cyber world was conceived from human intelligence, means that it can be dissected and manipulated to favor ones own intention. It is apparent that we must become more aware of everything we put online in regards to personal information.
It was unfortunate for Carla Franklin, who was victimized by cyberbullying. She posted a video on youtube and an "anonymous person" began harassing her. They created a channel dedicated to Carla Franklin which contained her personal information which could be used against her. Again it was unfortunate to happen to her but then again, she did upload her information on the web to begin with. In my opinion it is her own fault. One might argue that having your information used against you, such as Carla's case, is the antagonists fault. The way I see it, a gun can't fire without ammunition. She gave up her ammunition when she uploaded her information. Now I'm not saying not to put your information online, but just be weary that whatever you upload online, it is at risk of being compromised.
